lyricbook (lyricbook.ai, formerly LyricAI at lyricai.io, “the Service”, “we”, “us”) turns recordings into lyrics. You can reach us at support@lyricbook.ai. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.
lyricbook turns songs into written lyrics. You can give it a Spotify song or album link, a link to a YouTube video, or an audio file from your device. Get lyrics transcribes the recording automatically and times every word and line; it can also translate the lyrics and detect the song’s chords. Look up lyrics online, for Spotify songs, looks for existing public lyrics in LRCLIB and then lyrics.ovh and shows them as published, without transcribing anything. Results are deleted from our servers 24 hours after they’re made; your browser keeps a copy unless you turn that off, and you can download anything you want to keep.
You can also use the Service from your own software through its API, with keys you make in your account. Everything sent with your keys counts as sent by you: it uses your account’s credits like songs sent from the site, and these terms apply to it. Keep your keys secret, and revoke any key that may have been exposed.
lyricbook is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Spotify, YouTube, LRCLIB, or lyrics.ovh. Links you submit point to those services, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.
You must be at least 13 years old to use lyricbook. If you’re under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent’s or guardian’s permission to buy credits. The Service isn’t directed to children under 13.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not:
Credits are bought through Stripe, priced in US dollars, and used to process songs. One credit covers one minute of audio, rounded up per song. Translating a song uses 1 credit more, and its chords 1 credit more, whatever its length.
Auto top-up. If you turn on auto top-up on your Account page and save a card, you authorise us to charge that card through Stripe, without asking each time, for the credit bundle you chose whenever a request leaves your balance below the amount you set, and for up to 3 bundles at once when a request needs more credits than you have. We charge at most 3 times in any 24 hours. Credits bought this way are bought credits under this section. You can turn auto top-up off at any time on your Account page; if a charge is declined, we turn it off.
If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can withdraw from a credit purchase within 14 days without giving a reason, and the unused credits from that purchase are refunded. Each song you submit is a service we start straight away at your request. When you submit a song, you ask us to begin immediately and acknowledge that you lose the right to withdraw for that song once it has been processed. To withdraw, email support@lyricbook.ai from your account’s address.
Song lyrics are protected by copyright and belong to their writers and publishers. lyricbook claims no ownership of any lyrics, transcriptions, or translations. The Service is provided for personal listening, study, and accessibility.
If you believe material processed or stored through lyricbook infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated copyright agent at support@lyricbook.ai. The agent is registered with the US Copyright Office (registration DMCA-1082463); its full contact details are in the Office’s DMCA Designated Agent Directory. Under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3)), your notice must include:
If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice with your signature, the material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that it was removed by mistake or misidentification, and your name, address, phone number, and consent to the jurisdiction of the US federal district court for your address (17 U.S.C. §512(g)(3)). We terminate the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe others’ copyrights.
Transcriptions and translations are produced automatically and may contain mistakes. Don’t rely on them where accuracy matters without checking them.
Audio fetched for a link exists only in a temporary processing container. Files you upload are stored privately and deleted once transcribed, or within 4 hours if never submitted. Our processing provider keeps an encrypted copy of the audio sent for transcription for up to 7 days, then deletes it automatically. Lyric results are deleted from our servers 24 hours after they’re made; copies saved in your browser stay there until you delete them. The Privacy Policy explains what we keep and why.
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any rights you have as a consumer that can’t be waived.
You can delete your account at any time from your Account page. Unused credits are forfeited when the account is deleted. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
If something goes wrong, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be heard by the state or federal courts located in California. If you are a consumer living in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and may bring a claim in the courts where you live.
We may update these terms. We’ll tell you about significant changes by email or with a notice on the Service before they take effect.
