Songs are harder to transcribe than speech: instruments cover the voice, singers stretch words, and some songs switch languages.
1Voice
It takes the recording: the matching song for a Spotify link, the video’s own audio (a live take stays live), or your file. The voice is separated from the instruments before anything is written down.
2Language
English, Japanese and Mandarin go to a speech recognition model tuned for sung lyrics, which made fewer mistakes in our tests; other languages go to a general model. A song that switches languages is handled part by part.
3Check
Where a song’s lyrics are published, in LRCLIB or lyrics.ovh, they’re compared with what was heard. If they match this recording, you get those lines, timed to the voice; if not, what was sung.
4Timing
Each word and line is matched to the moment it’s sung. Always, at no extra cost.
5Chords
The chords are heard in the recording, snapped to the beat and set over the syllable they land on; the ones it’s unsure of are marked. Play along, transpose, set a capo or edit them. 1 credit more a song.
6Translation
Each line is translated with the whole song in mind and set under the original, into any of 37 languages. It keeps the meaning, tone and imagery, so it doesn’t rhyme or fit the melody.
7Romanization
Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Thai lines can get romaji, pinyin, Revised Romanization or Thai romanization. It’s free, and it stays with the sheet.
8Download
LRC for music players and karaoke apps, SRT for video editors, TXT, Markdown or JSON, and with chords, ChordPro and MIDI.

Look up lyrics online, beside Get lyrics, checks LRCLIB, a community lyrics database, then lyrics.ovh, for a Spotify song. If it’s there, you get the lyrics at once and free, with LRCLIB’s line times when it has them. Nothing is written down from the recording, so there’s no word timing, no chords and no translation; for those, Get lyrics.
We test on 63 real songs in 15 languages, two-language songs and long intros among them. Their lyrics are checked against independent sources. A language moves to another speech recognition model only when that model clearly does better on these songs.
Every link and file shows its length and cost before you press Get lyrics.
A song that fails gives its credits back on its own. Audio a minute or more shorter than charged gets the difference back.
No subscription. Buy credits once and use them any time.
Audio from links is deleted from our servers after processing. Uploaded files are deleted once transcribed. Lyric sheets are deleted from our servers after 24 hours; your browser keeps a copy unless you turn that off. Our processing provider keeps an encrypted copy of the audio for up to 7 days, then deletes it.
Heavily processed or buried vocals, several people singing at once, and very fast passages. Check names and fast lines against the song. If the language is detected wrong, set it in Original language, beside the song.
